Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, which is in my opinion a classic British movie that hits all the right spots. It has a good storyline, actors that clicked amazingly well together and just the right amount of violence, which all gelled together to create a very watchable movie.

A iconic location used in the movie was the hideout in Park Street, which is located less than a minutes walk from Borough Market in South East London. What I love about the hideout is that it virtually looks exactly like it does in the movie…..

It was freezing cold winters night and I was out for a wee wander along the River Thames heading to a place that I never tire of visiting, Battersea Power Station. When I finally arrived at my destination I couldn’t believe the beautiful sight that was before me.

Battersea Power Station was all lit up from a snowboarding event that was taken place there and a full moon was also shining bright, which helped to create the most awe inspiring picture of the building I have ever witnessed. Pink Floyd eat your heart out…!

Tower Bridge Is Open

Whenever I’m in a hurry to get some place in London, something always happens to slow me down even more. On this occasion as soon as I stepped onto Tower Bridge the gates started to close and that can only mean one thing, the bridge is about to be raised.

When the gates on Tower Bridge start to close there wasn’t much I could do apart from accept the fact I was going to be late. As I wasn’t too keen on swimming the Thames I just hung around and watched the bridge opening and the ship sailing through.

Flying High Above The Ground

A popular place for flying kites in London is at Parliament Hill, which is a beauty spot that is part of Hampstead Heath. Parliament Hill is also nicknamed Kite Hill for obvious reasons.

Flying kites sure seems to be a popular pastime for adults trying to relive their childhood. In fact you very rarely see children flying kites here, it is more often than not adults.

I had just finished having a couple of pints in The Dove pub, when I took this picture from the nearby pier. It was the first sunset that I have seen since I started living in London.

There is something I love about watching the sunset over water. I find it a beautiful and inspiring site, which should be shared with your girl. Unfortunately on this occasion she was working hard.

The Squirrel Moved So Fucking Fast

I was wandering around in one of my favourite parks getting some exercise, when a terrier dog came flying past me like a lightening bolt. It was after this friendly looking little squirrel. Luckily for Mr Squirrel had he seen the dog coming and went up the tree as fast as its little legs would take it.

Don’t Jump It’s a Long Way Down

I took this picture looking down the spiral staircase from the top of the Monument in London. All I can say is that it felt like a long way up, as I climbed up the 311 steps to reach the viewing platform, which is 180 feet high. And from the top the Monument it sure seemed like a long way down.

Fortunately the walk down the spiral staircase from the top of the Monument was a piece of cake compare to the climb up it.

A wee piece of Aberdeen can be found in London at the Rob Roy pub in Paddington. As the name may suggest the Rob Roy is a Scottish themed pub and in one corner there is some Aberdeen Football Club memorabilia, which proudly adorns the wall.

It is a good feeling sitting in the Rob Roy pub in London downing a few pints of Fosters lager, looking at some reminders of back home.

If you do down to Greenwich Park in London and visit the Royal Observatory you can quite literally stand on the centre of world time. The Meridian line at Greenwich represents the Prime Meridian of the world, Longitude Zero (0° 0′ 0″).

Every place on the entire planet is measured in terms of its angle east or west from this innocuous looking line. The Equator divides the northern and southern hemispheres.

The Meridian Line at Greenwich is a classic London photo opportunity, as well as being a place that has a fantastic amount of history behind it.

Huge Boobs Down By The River Thames

I had just crossed over the iconic London landmark, Tower Bridge, when as you often do in central London I stumbled upon some filming, whether it is a movie or a music video I’m not too sure.

But what I noticed from afar was the biggest breasted woman in the world, well they did from a distance. Unfortunately as I zoomed in closer it became apparent that they were fake boobs. Sometimes life is so unfair!
